Holiday Inn Alexandria at Carlyle, อะเล็กซานเดรีย

Easy walk from the Metro, and most convenient hotel for visits to the National Science Foundation (easy walk from the hotel). There are several restaurants, a Starbucks, and a movie theater all an easy walk as well (close to Metro station). Hotel was clean and comfortable, albeit a little dated with its fixtures, elevators, bathrooms, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi was good.

Stayed one night on way to DC. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Fantastic bfast included. Two thumbs up.

Overall good quality, comfortable and near the location I needed to be. Traffic pattern to get to the hotel was a little complicated. In addition, the only real complaint I have: I booked this hotel for the nice sized pool. I had time in the morning to excercise and swim, but to my dismay the pool was only open from 4-10pm on weekdays. On the weekends it is open earlier (I wasn’t there on a weekend) These hours were not convenient for me and I wasn’t able to utilize the one thing I based my booking on.

This is a great location for the Metro into Washington, DC. There is plenty of parking, as well. The rooms are a bit small, but well maintained. There aren't a lot of restaurants close by and no shopping, however.
