Overall hotel is good, but I came here with my kids to enjoy a littler winter vacation and relax at a WARM pool. Well, the pool is anything but warm, it is quite COLD and not suitable at all for relaxing. I find it very misguiding to advertise a pool which only very few will be able to enjoy.

Fantastic hotel, highly recommended

The hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English. The valet parking was very helpful as we had been given a 9 seat people carrier instead of a 7 seat car. The valet staff went above and beyond their duty and managed to fix our car when a seat belt got jammed in the sliding door, saving us a call out and potential issues with the rental company!

Check-in was terrible.Unfriendly girl on front desk told me that only 50 euro will be charged then 292 USD taken from my card. Never ever give your card details to them,2-3 years ago all the datas were also stolen.There were no slippers in the room, I ve stayed 5 days and only 2 bottles of water given to me as amenities.Each day housekeeper tried to pack my stuff in contrary way which I really dont like to be touched my personal items.Terrible stay only for location is good ; preferribly stay in other hotel in same area.

Comfortable stay, great location, nice pool

Our experience was overall very good - typical Marriott comfort, including a spacious bathroom and large beds. My children really loved the large pool. My only complaint was the pay-for breakfast options, which are priced variously. 10 EUR each for small kids, and they can eat whatever they want from the buffet. However the full buffet costs a very steep 28 EUR for adults (not worth it, IMO), 16 EUR for the cold continental breakfast only, or 22 for the middle option including some of the warm dishes. I found it frankly annoying and unattractive for a 5-star hotel to present these options at the hostess podium, when all you want to do is sit down and have easy access to any of the food they serve. Nothing justifies the huge pricing differences among the three tiers. Seemed kind of petty.

The water for the shower was not consistent for a hotel. It was nice but could use an upgrade with fhe Furnishings. All the less, it’s a hotel but could have been priced a little cheaper.

I can’t fault the hotel at all, exceptional location in the centre of Hamburg. We stayed to visit the Christmas Markets in Hamburg and Lübeck, and had a great time. We used the pool facilities, although it would have been more pleasant had it been a bit warmer. Our room on the 4th floor did exactly what we needed it to. The bar and restaurant was a little pricey but no more so than I expected. We travelled with a 3 year old and the staff were great with her too. I’d definitely recommend, and we would definitely stay here again.

Reception staff at check were very helpful and put us in a room with a great view.The Pianobar, while expensive had a great selection of drinks with a great atmosphere. The room was large and spacious. An all round excellent stay. A return for sure.
