Hotel La Basílica Quito

Treated us like old family from the moment we arrived

Unfortunately, we were to stay at the hotel on March 13 and 14, but decided at the last minute to fly back to Canada as everything was getting worse with the Coronavirus. Byron at the hotel had been very responsive and there was someone there waiting to pick us up to take us to the hotel (for a fee). She waited while we made our decision to fly home. We were very sorry that we did not get to stay at the hotel or see Quito but based on Byron's communication with us and the effort they made, we will certainly stay there when we are able to get back to Ecuador.

I loved the decor, the feel of being in an old style Spanish colonial house. The staff were vert helpful and attentive.

The hotel staff were wonderful, warm and accommodating.

Property was unique and pleaseant, very clean and hospitable.

Very friendly service with some good advice on the city's point of interest and where to eat.

This was the most amazing place to stay. The family that runs the hotel was so friendly and welcoming. They treated us like family while we were the there. The hotel is an old Spanish Hacienda and very well decorated and maintained. The breakfast is homemade and plentiful, with fresh fruits and juices. I can't say enough nice things about this place. The location is close the Old Town square and basilica. I highly recommend this hotel. I would stay here again if ever in Quito. Gracias por todo!!

The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious, and the service was extraordinary. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance to many of the most important historical sites in Quito. The family that runs this hotel is amazing - we would definitely stay there again!

Perfectly located at the old quarter of Quito, amazing panoramic view of the city from the rooftop, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast, awesome and very friendly staff!
