This was our second stay at this hotel - and likely our last. The experience was disappointing, mainly due to poor service from one staff member at the front desk. We arrived at 1:30 PM and were told our room wasn’t ready, but we’d get a call when it was. After returning from lunch and sitting in the lobby for 40 minutes right in front of her, I asked again. She claimed she’d called and left a voicemail, which I never received. No apology—just a robotic rundown of hotel rules and claiming that she DID call.
I had requested a room without a pool view but was given one anyway, along with the noise. The in-room TV displayed the wrong guest name all week, which felt careless. Guests smoked near the pool, and staff didn’t intervene.
One day, the AC stopped working. After waiting two hours and calling the front desk, the same staff member brushed it off with, “Don’t forget you’re in Miami. Things happen!”—a shocking response instead of an apology or solution.
Despite these issues, the beds were comfortable, the minibar was good, and the pool area was nice. Housekeeping deserves special praise for their great daily work.
TL;DR:
Disappointing second stay due to unhelpful front desk staff (specifically that one arrogant lady), wrong room view, AC issues, and poor service. Highlights: comfy beds, nice pool, and excellent housekeeping.
