Downtown Nagoya, especially the Sakae district, has all kinds of nightlife ranging from traditional Japanese bars to modern and international live music venues as well as nightclubs. The area’s vibrancy attracts not only residents but also partygoers from other nearby cities, mainly thanks to a superb transportation system which make it fast and easy to get in and out of Nagoya. City nightclubs usually charge an entrance fee but many venues often have special nights when fees are waived or reduced like on ladies’ nights. One other reason why Nagoya is so popular among clubbers is that its bars stay open until very late.

MyBar is a busy pub in the Sakae district, across the road from Nagoya TV Tower. Famous for its open-mike acts, MyBar provides the stage, microphone and guitar, so from time to time you can get to hear some interesting talent. Sports fans will be happy to learn that they can catch the action on MyBar’s 47" plasma TV and the bar gets quite busy on big game nights. The menu focuses on western favourites like buffalo wings, nachos, chicken satays, chili con carne, and burgers. Sunday is a big pizza day at MyBar with many choices starting from 500 yen. Check out their extensive ‘Wild Martini’ list. English, Spanish and Portuguese-speaking staff.
