Super hotel in a great location
This is a lovely hotel right in the centre of Wellington a 2 minute walk from the BeeHive parliament building. The staff were super helpful and friendly upon arrival. We used their valet service and although there was ample car parks we could have used, it was an easy and efficient service to use. Our room was great and the bed very snuggly. We ate in the dining room and had an excellent meal on our second night and once again great service. Would highly recommend this hotel

We spent 3 days at Sofitel, everyday when we were sleeping, there were someone (hotel staff) knocking our door, no matter in the morning, afternoon, or at night, or all the time! There is a chandelier on the top of the bedside table, which is a very weird design, and unfortunately, the chandelier is very dirty and dusty, whenever I pick up or put something on the tablle, my head will hit on the chandelier, and a lot of dust fell. The restaurant is under average level, kind of Asian-western mixed food, and had diarrhea after dinner.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Beautiful clean rooms with comfy beds. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was great. However the highight was the staff. Everyone we had contact with - from checking in, the bar and restaurant staff, and housekeeping- were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. They even gave us free vouchers for a drink when they learned it was our mums birthday. I will definitely be back for my next stay in Wellington.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel. Very professional and really appreciated the subtle French touches to align with the brand. Only small issue is that the location is more in the business part of the city so be prepared to walk to attractions, restaurants and bars if staying the weekend

Wonderful hotel and very attentive staff. The staff is what my stay enjoyable. When we arrived we had several problems. First, the room wasn't large enough to accommodate 3 adults. The staff upgraded us twice before we were satisfied. They blamed Expedia for this mistake. Of course this was for a cost. After having trouble finding the hotel, the parking was a disaster. Parking is on street, but there are restrictions during the day hours. We ended up accepting valet parking, but again at a cost. So overall the stay started poorly, but again I'll say the staff made it enjoyable. Very professional and well mannered.
