They intentionally overbooked. First day, they told us there was some mistake. So on the first day we would get the garden villas instead of the beach villas and for our second day till our departure we would get the jacuzzi beach villas and a $26 refund for each room when we leave. We went there and they didn't look like villas at all, not to mention there's no garden. They looked more like places for staff to stay. However, the inside was quite nice--had everything you would need. But we didn't pay for this, so we requested for something better. Unfortunately they had nothing else, so we asked that they give us something better for the second day to the day of our departure for compensation. We negotiated back and forth for about an hour, and it took all of our energy. We had so much expectation. We were looking forward to this trip for months. Finally they promised to give us the water villas for the second day until the last. Another issue I had was with the waiters. We had had three waiters serving us drinks. Two weren't so friendly. They sort of looked down on us--we are Asian.They never smiled, and they looked like they didn't want to serve us. But they sure knew how to talk when they waited on Western guests. Since it was a buffet, I noticed that no one actually tipped. As soon as we tipped one of them, he started asking about our holidays n where we came from. The third was friendly and polite. He was the only waiter who served us and made us feel welcomed.
