Great Hotel in Cartagena
We had a great time at the OZ Hotel. We were initially booked for Oz Hotel Luxury, but we were upgraded to a larger room and bed and at the OZ Hotel. Every morning we were provided with a great breakfast buffet and a very attentive staff. The staff is excellent at the hotel, and we received beyond excellent service each day. The hotel is in a great location with great restaurants around.

Good service. Poor room quality
Well I complained about the room initially because it was supposed to be an upgrade to a junior suite. I upgraded to a slightly bigger room but it was not the size of any junior suite. Essentially it was a standard room but the room amenities were good. Air quality was poor and I had complained twice without any resolution so I got frustrated and dealt with the issue. There was a clear odor of mold in the room. Room 113.

Great hotel situated a 5 minute walk from bocagrande beach Decent size room with big beds Good wifi Lovely hot shower ( not always the case in south america) No pool but their sister hotel has a lovely Terrace area to relax after a days activities in cartagena Breakfast fairly basic but adequate Hotel is guest friendly Special mention to the lovely Maria , wonderful Andrea & Beautiful Sheyla who all spoke great english

Nice Vacation
This was my 2nd stay here and it was amazing! They are very accomodating. I referred a friend to stay and he liked it as well. When I go to Cartagena, this will be my 1st option. The staff was friendly and nice. It was an enjoyable experience.

Location was better for beach goers, beaches in Cartagena are horrible so we didn’t need to be in that area we went once and said forget it. We had to Uber to Centro historical so that was a bit of a drag.

The bad 1. The rooms are a lot smaller than pictured. 2. There were hairs and particles on the bed letting me know it doesnt get washed. Luckily I always take sheets and blankets. 3. They only provide one key, and the lights in the room and bathroom only function with the key inserted in the small device on the wall. So if someone leaves, with a key, the lights shut off leaving the other person in the dark 4. The surrounding area is not the cleanest 5. There are always women "working" and hanging out there with guests, but that's also all over colombia. The good 1. Staff is friendly 2. The design of the entire hotel is very nice and modern 3. The free breakfast is delicious and fresh 4. They have outdoor seating with a bar 5. There is a rooftop with nice views where you can hang out any time of the day (24hrs) 6. It's walking distance to a mall, the beach, a lot of souvenir vendors and lots of restaurants and coffee shops.

What was unique was definitely the design as it has the cultural and tropical look but still looks and feels so modern. The only downside of the property was the housekeeping keep entering and cleaning the room when do not disturb is clearly on the door. Also found a roach in my bathroom 3 nights in. So yeah i had a great time though on my trip.
