Hampton By Hilton Guanacaste Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Great for an overnight before an early flight. Pools were immaculate with plenty of seating. There’s a Starbucks, subway, pizza place and a KFC next door so plenary of dinner options if you don’t have a car. Shuttle to airport was wonderful but you have to book space the day before or when you arrive to ensure you get a seat during the busier times. Rooms have everything g you need including super comfortable king beds. Would stay again."
"Friendly, professional, fun, and helpful staff. They are very responsive to any questions you may have.
There is a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. Relaxing environment with the beach just steps away.
They can also connect you with an airport shuttle service that makes transfers stress free."

"As an all inclusive resort, it was beyond my expectations. Service was amazing, food was great. Staff was caring and helpful. Service was excellent. I am extremely impressed with this resort."
"Our stay at Villas Sol was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had, and I feel obligated to warn other travelers.
At check-in we were told that the pool with the swim-up bar, jacuzzi and Spa were closed. These closures were not communicated before arrival. We booked a Premium Ocean Villa and our first room had an obstructed ocean view and rock-hard beds. Management did change our room to the correct room, after we complained.
The beach was littered with trash and rocks, the remaining pool was overcrowded, and there were constant vendors on the beach pushing tours.
Most critically — we got food poisoning. We ordered nachos that took over an hour, arrived cold, and we noticed the restaurant roof actively leaking into the kitchen. That night my daughter and I were violently ill. My husband didn't eat the nachos and was fine. We never ate there again and had no further illness. Do not eat at the hotel restaurant.
We also called for security one night after individuals threw rocks at our villa door. No one ever came. The property has a gate but does not appear to have trained security staff.
On our last day we checked our bill early — and discovered the hotel was attempting to charge us $300 for allegedly soiling a mattress. It was completely false. We photographed every mattress and had management inspect them personally. They found nothing and dropped the charge. I believe this is a deliberate scam targeting tourists before they leave the country."
