I have traveled the world, this is my first review. The Riad is nice, but beware. Our room was by the kitchen, so we heard the staff talking all night long . Our heater didn't work so we froze one night. Beware - when asked if you want a guide to take you through Fes. We took up the owner's offer, Jalil, to arrange for a guide. The guide Hasan, discouraged us from stopping where we wanted in the souks, rather took us to his spots. His spots were high pressure sales situations. We ended up overpaying/getting ripped off for a rug, that was our mistake. Don't cave on the pressure tactics. We learned from another guest that they all get paid (owner, guide, etc) on what you buy. The rug place overcharged us on our agreed upon price and when I sent Jalil an email for help, he ignored my request. I know he knows how to be helpful, but he ignored us. While the food is good, it is way overpriced. When I went to check out, his credit card machine didn't work, he told me to go the the bank to withdraw cash, problem is my cash limit wouldn't cover the bill. He was insistent. Sorry, it isn't my problem your credit card machine doesn't work. We were rushed to make a train, his machine finally worked, but urgh. Beware, get your own guide, there are 900 Riad's in Fes this isn't at the top, for sure!
