It was a very lovely hotel.
The view from the room and especially from the rooftop were also nice, and most of the staff were friendly and accommodating.
However, I had a bit of dissatisfaction with the front desk staff on the first day.
When I tried to borrow a bottle opener to drink beer, he said the hotel doesn't have one, and I was told to bring the bottle to the front desk when opening. Since it's unimaginable for a hotel not to have a bottle opener, I assumed he misunderstood and thought I meant a wine opener. I tried to convey that I wanted to open a beer bottle, but he didn't seem to listen.
At that moment, another staff nearby asked if I needed a bottle opener for beer, and I was able to borrow one from them.
Perhaps he lacks confidence in English proficiency, but language skills don't matter. I just want them to understand and respond to the customer's needs thoroughly, even if it takes time. Understanding each other is crucial. Apart from that, I have no complaints at all.
If I have the chance to visit Khiva again, I would like to stay there.
