I know it's only 2 Star but looks tired. Stair carpet bit noticeably shabby No lift so my elderly mother had to go up 4 flights to her room, butI could have asked for ground floor I suppose. My mother was paranoid throughout as to what to do in the event of a fire. There appeared to be no smoke detectors in the rooms and the egress would have been out of the room and down or up the stairs. Unless the stairs were on fire.. then the advice given on the wall was to remain calm, block the door with material, damp it down and above all 'Remain Calm'. No air-con so was like an oven in mid summer heat where it was reaching 40C locally. The staff were cheerful and helpful. The reception is only manned during the day, and you get in by using an access code. The receptionist phoned me up to let me know what this was as I was leaving the UK, which was nice.
Breakfast in the Continental Style, Cheese, huge Fresh Croissant and Tea/Coffee, Fruit Juice. Located handily for the Cathedral and Centre of town. 25 rooms and OK if you were on a budget.
Not especially cheap, but you have what you pay for I suppose. Inside the rooms are actually quite nice. The bed was comfortable. The ensuites are pods built into the bedroom space and use macerating toilets. This means there can be quite a bit of noise as the rooms around all use the ablutions.
Wifi available throughout but intermittent.
OK for 3 nights but I wouldn't want to stay for a month...
