For my best friends 50th birthday, I booked this room promoted and propped up by this website. All communication with the property was through what’s app. Communication prior to arrival was good. Showed up, met a contact, walked up to the 4th floor. Room smelled musty but seemed fine overall. Contact opened the balcony door immediately let the fresh air in, while pointing out each of the things that were broken that needed a special or certain turn or shake to work. The contact had a lot of nervous energy as she removed a pile of soaking rags from the shower drain and mopped up a puddle on the floor. She mentioned the bathroom might flood so this mop is here if I need it. The shower had a steady loud drip. When I pointed it out she closed the door and said ‘fixed’ but mentioned the rooms were sold out and if the noise bothered us she would call a plumber the next day. Once she left the room, I investigated at the dripping shower and noticed black mold spots as seen in attached images. We grabbed our bags and booked a room up the street. I messaged the contact, she offered to clean the shower if we wanted to come back but did not offer a refund. I contacted this website, they contacted the property and said they offered another room and I refused. Not only did the contact tell us the rooms were booked prior when she offered a plumber I have the written transcript. Overall why is the gnome approving this room and why doesn’t the gnome have my back? no refund, no accountability
