The hotel is in a grimy, business area, dirty, grafitti filled neighborhood. However, it is a safe area, near to the port, but away from the tourist area, which is a walk and ascensor ride away. When the adjacent ascensor reopens next year, it will be more convenient.
The hotel was slightly grimy and our room was plagued with ants. Despite reporting this to the desk clerk every morning, the ants thrived in the room.
The best part of the stay was breakfast, which was a very adequate buffet served up by Adolfo and his crew. They were friendly, helpful and engaging. Breakfast featured eggs, made to order.
The bathroom was adequate, water pressure was ok, but shower water temp varied quite a bit, and bathroom lighting was dim at best.
On the other hand, this is not USA, and with that in mind, the hotel was decent enough.
