Heritage Hotel Hallstatt
"Its a nice panorama view from balcony. Good location and service"
Grand Elisabeth
"Amazing stuff and hotel as well. The rooms are new nice clean and comfortable. The breakfast very testy. The stuff are very helpful. Great location. Thank you very much for everything. We hope to see you soon ❣️❣️❣️"
MONDI Appartements am Grundlsee
"Surpassed already high expectations. A stunning property maintained in a pristine way. Very special place - hope to return!"
Im Weissen Rössl am Wolfgangsee
"We absolutely loved the White Horse Inn. It’s chic and elegant, but also deeply authentic and connected to the history of St. Wolfgang. The hotel has nearly 500 years of history, with paintings, photographs and little references to its past throughout. It really feels like a destination hotel and part of the history of the area. There are so many little things that make it feel special and upscale without being too stuffy. We loved the live piano at breakfast on Saturday, the pools and saunas, the boutique-resort feel, and of course the breathtaking beauty of the lake and mountains. One note for American travelers: Austrian service can feel more reserved and less overtly accommodating than what we’re used to in the US. Once we adjusted to that cultural difference, it felt very much part of the experience — professional and traditional rather than overly solicitous. One tip: rooms with AC are the more recently updated rooms, so I’d choose one of those if you prefer a more contemporary room. Such a beautiful, memorable place — luxurious, full of character, and completely unique to St. Wolfgang."
Lakeview Apartments
"The staff of the hotel is very friendly and very nice. They answered all my questions and guide us to the hotel’s private garden. I love them, and will introduce this hotel to all my friends."
Scalaria Sunset Wing
"Nice resort, but I can’t give 5 stars because the room was lacking privacy. We booked the lake view balcony room, but the balcony was shared with the adjacent room and only separated with a glass partition. The neighbors could see into our room which was unacceptable."
Hotel Goldenes Schiff
"We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the room was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was also very convenient. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily stay here again."
Hallstatt Hideaway - Adults only
"Great place and service, but no AC"
Arabella Jagdhof Resort am Fuschlsee, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
"This was a very nice and upscale hotel. With easy access to beautiful sites. Nice and enjoyable time. Was only there for 1 night. Would stay again."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Altmuenster
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Altmünster is during February, March, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the town's key landmarks and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to enjoy various attractions such as natural parks and museums, providing great value for money while immersing themselves in the local history and culture. By travelling during these months, you may find that accommodation costs could drop, making your trip even more affordable.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for Altmünster, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you take advantage of potential savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available in the app enables you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best options. With these tools, you can easily keep track of price drops or availability updates for your preferred hotels.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in an Altmünster hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is relatively high, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could potentially lead to more affordable options, enhancing your chances of finding a great deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Altmuenster's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
