Stayed here for 4 nights whilst exploring the Cinque Terre - great restaurant nearby (Osteria La Carabaccia - booking required), and a couple of good grocery stores (Co-op and Basko.) Our hostess highly recommended a day out in nearby Porto Venere - and this was a very good recommendation! You can catch ferry boats here to the Cinque Terre villages.

Excellent room for a stay in the region. There's a great view from the room and the terrasse of the city and the surroundings. Everything is extremely clean.
The host is super friendly and takes time to share her knowledge of the region.
One thing to take note of is that a car is highly recommended to access the property otherwise it must be a bit long to walk to the city center (train station, port). Only a (very nice) restaurant is located nearby (5min walk)

An absolutely gorgeous guest house with amazing owners and staff who were knowledgeable, accommodating and kind. The room was top tier in both cleanliness and general aesthetic. Definitely worth visiting again for Biassa, the surrounding towns, and of course Pietra di Mare.

We couldn't have picked a better base from which to visit Cinque Terre with La Spezia station a very short stroll from the front door. Trains travel regularly and quickly to the five villages and run late at night.
Situated in a grand old character building, it's a brand new modern refurb that's spotlessly clean. The beds are comfy and there's a mini fridge provided. As a Brit, it's also always nice to have a kettle and a selection of tea bags when you arrive.

Good location, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
Pleasant stroll along the waterfront.
When the weather is too cold or windy for the rooftop bar the internal bar (by the restaurant) is not very inspiring.
Good selections at breakfast, frequently refreshed.

Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could assist you in finding a more affordable stay in a La Spezia hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer improved value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that could help you discover a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive; however, thanks to La Spezia's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money available.
