I was in town for an event with my UTD graduate school colleagues and the Denizen Hotel was perfect! The location, friendliness of the staff, design, room etc. were all excellent. Comfortable, spacious, welcoming, and stylish. And it is conveniently located near some great restaurants. I would visit again and highly recommend this property if you are in the McKinney area.

Our overall stay was nice and we enjoyed the convenience of the fridge and dishes in our room. 2 things would have been helpful: there was no shelf or hook in the shower to hang the wash rag or put a razor or loofah. Something inside the shower would have been helpful. Also a covered area to pull up to unload/load. It was raining when we arrived and had to navigate unloading and opening the side door with our key in the rain.

Check Your Electrical
The staff was well trained and gracious however our room had electrical issues (lights wouldn’t work). The front desk person promptly moved us to another room on the same floor however, we had the same issue with a couple of the other fixtures and sockets. Despite the electrical issues, the staff was kind and attentive. However, it would have been nice to have had our stay discounted because of the inconvenience.

VERY nice and clean hotel with friendly/knowledgeable staff! The access/availability to the elevators and stairs was very close to our room, which we had double queens wheelchair accessible, and made everything convenient. Our room alone was spacious with farm door to the restroom, kitchenette, full fridge, automated black out/shade curtains…overall very accessible to us wheelchair folks. The layout and ease of the hotel was very thought out so kudos to whomever planned that out. It seemed to served a purpose and intentional to fit the consumer (whether solo travel or family) very well everywhere you turn in the hotel. Restrooms and laundromat near the lobby. Also have complimentary coffee in the room and near lobby as well! There’s also restaurants right in front within walking distance. 1000+ out of 10! Overall, highly enjoyed our stay and will return!

Nothing Like New
Nothing like a brand new hotel. A few little things need to be worked out, like no place in the shower for soap, or anything. But overall good experience. And a great price.

Bathroom Improvements
New facility, odd bathroom items. No shelving for shampoo, etc. in the shower. No handle inside the shower to assist in closing the shower door. Not a real issue but I thought it was odd while other chains are going with larger shampoo, etc. bottles, yours were the smallest I've seen in a long time.
