Never been to Salisbury before, didn't expect much, was totally taken in by the place, full of history and friendliness, loads of independent shops, some fantastic bars. I'll be back with the family that's for sure.

The cathedral and close are well worth a visit, as is Arundells. Salisbury is good for shopping with a few indies as well as the usual.

Salisbury is a fine city, with interesting buildings, good shopping, many restaurants, important history and grand cathedral. There is much of interest in the area around too. Salisbury is a great place to visit; but use one of the excellent hotels!

Vastly overrated and overpriced generally. Outside the town are the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop, Old Sarum and other hill forts and, of Course, Stonehenge and Avebury. The only item of note in Salisbury itself is the Cathedral.

Lovely little city. Recommended doing the online history hunt, great way to learn some of the history and see some of the city. Lots of choice when it comes to food and drink. Recommended The Haunch of Venison for a drink in the past!
