Great location. Short walk to the bars/restaurants in Bairro Alto and clubs in Principe Real. Also not a far walk to Chiado and the waterfront.

We had a great stay in Lisbon and this hotel was perfect. It was centrally located and close to great restaurants, shops, train stations and mor. My surprise and delight was that Right across from our hotel room was this fabulous park- a miradouros with a great view, food, drinks and music.

As a handicapped senior, I found the stairs challenging. The room was very pleasant and the cleaning girl was delightful.

Great location in Lisbon to walk to lots of destinations. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, very short walk. The apartment was simple but all we needed. We really appreciated the storage lockers provided and a WC to use when we collected our luggage. Thank you -this was really great service.

Awesome location in the heart of the Bairro Alto district. Checkin was easy. Luggage storage prior to checkin and after checkout was easy and appreciated. The room is as described.

Bring ear plugs and more ear plugs.
If you want to stay up all night, I recommend this place highly. Park across the street was noisy, street noise was atrocious, and my wife and I didn't get a wink of sleep.

This is a lovely historic house in Bairro Alto. It makes an excellent base for a visit to Lisboa. Make sure you carry earplugs for use at night. Rooms cleaned daily. Plenty of buses and tram stops close by. Lots of interesting narrow streets with cafes and arty/clothing boutiques etc.

The place was in a great location. Room was good. Shower did not drain and had black mold all over it. It is a shame because the place is great.

Hotel was ok, really easy room, not perfect clean, but not so bad, but it was really really loud!! Even with the windows closed it was really loud. Location was ok but a lot of stairs, for my mother was really hard

We loved everything. Except some guests - men - were yelling banging on doors late at night.

Great room
Beautiful space in the heart of Bairro Alto. The guesthouse is centrally located in the heart of everything, but that also means people will be partying right outside all night. The triple pane windows and shutters kept out most of the noise though. Room was larger than expected with lots of natural light.

The property was very clean and well maintained. The only negatives were that the first night we arrived, a Saturday , it was very noisy till about 2 am. The source of the noise was outside the area of this establishment but in the same building. The other was that there was almost no storage space in the unit. Hence the 4 rather than 5.

Loved our stay here, it is in a very busy area and can be loud in the evenings but it didn’t bother us at all. Clean, safe and the building itself was quiet. Very responsive whenever we needed anything. Located directly across a wonderful viewpoint and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It’s at the top of a huge hill (like everything in Lisbon) but we would walk down and then take a bolt back up if we didn’t feel like doing the walk back. Highly recommend.

Basic facilities lacking. Old and extremely overpriced.

This is a comfortable and simple property. It is extremely well located to the downtown neighborhoods and immediately adjacent to the very lovely and elegant Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara. The adjacent side streets are very popular and loud at night for young tourist looking for cheap drinks, but the windows and walls were well insulated to keep most of the noise out. If you are a light sleeper, you should consider bringing a white noise machine. AC in room was a great feature. Shampoo and toiletry amenities are minimal, so consider bringing your own if you are particular.

Accommodation was great . We arrived but only had one access code. Phoned the owners and the acces code was there almost immediately. Very comfortable room. First reasonably quiet but the next night was the Eve of a national holiday so the party was on. Considering where they were partying it was quiet. Very easy to gey to. At the top of a funicular. Easy to get around Lisbon from there.

This “hotel” is more like a cool dorm and there’s no reception. You are supposed to receive some codes via email a couple of days before arrival that allow access to the building and the room. I never received the codes and I met 2 other guests that also did not receive codes. Making calls to obtain the codes was not fun. The rooms are nice, but worn- a lot of mildew in the bathroom. The noise levels are awful. The room entrance doors are not gasketed, so light and noise from the hallway is endless. As to be expected in Lisbon, there were a lot of party people, so the noise from fellow guests never stops. I still think a good value and the woman that cleans is great- very helpful!

I loved that it was essentially self-service. No front desk. No staff other than the cleaners who came in the morning. The rooms felt clean. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The only thing I didn't love was the layout of the bathroom. It's not the most ergonomic. One thing I will call out though is that it's right next to a lot of bars, and it can be quiet noisy at night. I was still able to sleep, so it wasn't an issue, but if you are more sensitive to this kind of thing, maybe you will want to consider a different option, but in terms of location, this place can't be beat.
