Luxury country pub stay
The room was amazing with the most comfortable bed. Total experience was great, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If I had to find fault it would be that parking on site is limited and hotel is on main road although this is not noticeable once in side. Food is delicious evening meal as well as breakfast.

Disappointing start to our trip
We were staying just for one night and had booked b&b but decided to eat in the restaurant which was ok , if quite expensive for what we had . The following morning we needed an early start as we were heading to Le Shuttle . I had previously spoken and emailed the owners requesting an early breakfast and was told it could be accommodated but on mentioning it again on arrival, it seemed like it would not be possible as the kitchen would not be open . We settled for a reduced breakfast and agreed a time . On the morning , the lady seemed to have forgotten us but did make us a bacon sandwich and coffee . No amendment to our bill was offered . It was a very expensive and somewhat disappointing stopover for what it was and I would elsewhere next time.

6/10 Good

The room was well decorated and looked nice with some key amenities and luxuries including robes and a coffee machine. However when it came to sleeping the room really let us down. The emergency green light was so bright my partner and I really struggled. They did provide eye masks which we found during the night but these were very uncomfortable to wear. There was also a lot of noise as the walls were very thin so we could hear other people talking and even just sneezing or coughing or moving around in their rooms. I had to wear ear plugs in the end but again I don’t find this ideal. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the room was very hot but we were able to open the window and had the option to put a fan on. There was parking out front but very limited spaces so my advice would be to plan another parking option just in case. We didn’t eat dinner or breakfast in the restaurant area just by choice really. Continental breakfast was included in our stay but we decided to go elsewhere as there weren’t many options for me as I have a dairy intolerance. It was a spread of mainly yoghurts, granolas and pastries with some melon and meats (fine for most). Overall this is a fine stop over but we wouldn’t book again.

Stayed overnight for a birthday party, so we weren't there for long but the inn was delightful, lovely room and decor, friendly welcoming owner and staff, and a delicious continental breakfast in the morning. Can't fault anything. Thank you very much.

A little disappointing
Given it wasn't a cheap room there are 3 main reasons I found it a little disappointing. Free parking was advertised but there's only room for 3 cars outside the pub. We were lucky enough to squeeze on to the third as we were early. Also it was advertised as a full breakfast but this in fact was continental with an extra £14 for a Full English. Finally for the price the room was very small, although it was very clen and pleasant inside so in no way in poor condition. Unfortunately as an additional point which can't be helped, the pub is right on some traffic lights and of course not their fault but unfortunately regularly cars were roaring away from the lights. If I'd paid half or a little over half of what I paid then fair enough but for the price, as I say, a little disappointing.

A lovely clean and well kept small hotel. Staff and owners most friendly and welcoming. Our room was immaculate but rather short on space. A fan was provided which was most welcome as it was quite hot even with the window open. Unfortunately, the room faced the road so the noise from the traffic kept us awake. Lovely dining area and guest lounge. And great private garden. Apart from traffic noise would recommend- perhaps choose a room to the rear

8/10 Very good

For a newly finished property, too many things could have been done better. Charging phones at bedside difficult, sockets already in use. Why didn't they use sockets with USB sockets. only hanging space for clothes was in the shower/toilet. Not really very nice hanging your clothes in the same space where you go to the toilet. Also in shower room there was a rack with the towels on. I'm 6'4" tall and I had to use my walking stick to pull the towels down! Weird room locks were not automatically locking, you had to remember to turn the deadlock when you were in the room and lock it with the key when you left. Main complaint though was that I chose this establishment as it said it had car parking. It didn't! It had a small strip of gravel in front of the building were you could park 3 vehicles. Very insecure so by no description a car park! Just acceptable for one night but would not want to stay longer

A lovely little hotel, fantastic room (The Authors suite). We stayed here as it’s close to Chapeldown Vineyard, the Hotel team arranged transport for us and other guests for a wine tasting afternoon. Tenterden is a very unique town surrounded by the best of the Kent countryside.
