Beautiful property and located near a lot of good food and things to do, but overall could use some work. Having only 1 functional elevator was a hassle, especially for guests staying on high floors and when there were several big events happening nearby. If you chose to take the stairs, the halls and stairways were all extremely dark, stuffy, hot and humid, regardless of the time of day. The room was nice but small, and didn’t have any surfaces to put your stuff down on. The AC unit worked but only cooled a small portion of the room. The front desk staff members at check-in were not welcoming; they made it seem like I was rudely interrupting their conversation when I was simply waiting to be helped. However, the staff member at check-out was every friendly and helpful.

Elevator sucked, The world’s slowest and hot too. The room was small as heck. It is in the middle of downtown and more down the street, talk about ghetto. Valet was 24/7 and convenient. Staff were awesome. But I probably won’t be coming back to this hotel.

It was a fine hotel. I’m pretty sure it’s a converted tenement, so it had an “old world luxury” feel. However, the elevator was broken. The staff were super helpful and nice, told us some good spots to eat around the area. The hotel is in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, so be prepared for street noise. I’d go back, it was fine.
