Split is a historic, yet vibrant city. We visited in early May The weather was more changeable, but the crowds were manageable. The first week of May is a good time to visit because International Workers Day and the town's saint's day are celebrated

Split was a great place to visit. The Palace is well worth visiting and Krka National Park is breathtaking. The wine tasting is worth doing also. Please ensure you bring quite a few euros with you as you cannot rely on places offering a card payment.

Split is full of super impressive architecture and vibrant culture, friendly and helpful locals, so much to do and see! Only negatives were the huge crowds of tourists even in September, the prices in shops and restaurants were high (quality great).

Go before or after main summer crowd. Will be more expensive and overcrowded with long Wait times for anything. Our day trip island and blue cave tour guides showed us pics of summer crowds with hundreds of boats in the waters limiting your time

Rather expensive compared to what you find in Italy, but nonetheless the energy in the city makes it a oerfect destination for foodies and those who crave the night life. Its also the launchpad to the various islands that beach goers must see.

Very busy city. Lots of boats leave from here for cruising and day tripping. A lot of history in the town to take in. One hint to see these sights is go early before the tour groups take over and crowd everything. Lots of places to eat

Very walkable city, good choice of restaurants along marina & down all the little streets & alleyways. We happened to be outside the cathedral at 11.00 a.m where the 'Romans' came out onto the balcony area, great atmosphere.

Look out for instanagram art, local artist that has a studio but also sells pictures behind Diocletians Palace. The Hadjuk Split Stadium tour was fantastic. The Bell Tower was worth the climb as was Marjan viewpoint

Split is like no other city in Europe (& we've seen a lot). Layers of history, going back over 2000 years, right before your eyes. It's hard to believe that such a place exists! Spectacular.

Split is a must visit. So much to see! People are friendly. Lovely hikes, history, and beaches all in walking distance. Tons of great restaurants! Gelato around every corner!
"The property is perfectly located to all one would want to do. The staff was amazing. The food options for breakfast were plentiful. The staff is tremendously knowledgeable and helpful with any requests. Highly recommend."
"The hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of Old Town Split. Plus the staff, such as Marija went above and beyond for me, even going so far as to allow early check in , help with local restaurants and attractions and other helpful things.
The rooms were spacious and luxurious and the next day breakfasr was lovely.
I throughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend for others."
"The hotel is ideally located a short distance to Split Riva and nearby beach. There are many options of restaurants in the neighborhood. The breakfast is great with many options. What I really liked is that if you have an evening departure like we did, the hotel allows you to check out on time but give you a pass to use the facilities such as the pool and wellness center. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. All the staff are courteous and helpful. The reception staff even tried to help me with my transportation when it was delayed. I would definitely stay here again. "
