I stayed here with my son for 9 nights. This hotel is very glamorous. We stayed in a twin elite room which included breakfast. Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection of food and set us up well for the day. Staff were really friendly and helpful - ordering taxis when required, advising on restaurants, etc. The hotel is central for tourist attractions and shopping. We loved our stay here and hope to come back. Thank you ☺️

The hotel is one of the first in Beijing. Although it is older the feel is clean and elegant. Dining is limited but there are plenty of places nearby. My only critical comment is that there was no morning take out coffee anywhere. I had to go about 2 blocks to Starbucks.

What a beautiful hotel well central located.. amazing service the supervisor was extraordinary with a warm welcoming… she provided all the information we need and also sent us a fruits basket to our room.. very spacious and with the windows to the Main Street… very confortable and huge room .. Nice Lobby and location. Rooms are really dated and in need for refurbishment. My room window could not close fully, send cold air into the room which was unpleasant this time of the year. Had to ask for a heater. Service staff; other then 1 foreign lobby ambassador; could do with some training.

Comfortable spacious room
The location of the hotel was excellent and proximity to touristic places. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Minor hiccup during check-in process in the, but overall was ok. Breakfast buffet was a bit of a disappointment even though there were selection for the price. Only enjoyable food was the chocolate croissant. There is need to raise the breakfast buffet standard to an international level as a premium hotel. Would like to thank a female lobby ambassador staff for her hospitality.

This hotel is 100 years old and you can imagine when you step in how grandiose was in its prime. Today’s day probably needs a lot of touch ups to keep it up but still keeping that “old world” feeling. The room was very big and well decorated. The room had an interesting smell ( probably the wall paper and maybe the drapes should be replaced to freshen up the room)

Historical hotel next to the forbidden city
Extraordinary hotel. I stayed in a heritage room, with a bedroom, a lounge, a bathroom, a shower room and a toilet. The bed was extremely comfortable. The building is historical and has lots of character. Above all, staff is exceptional. Ksenia and Sky speak good English and took a very good care of me booking taxis checking opening hours and providing recommendations. Extremely good service.

Amazing hotel in central location
We stayed in the historical wing of the hotel and it was a very large and comfortable room (although very warm!), and the hotel is as close to the forbidden city as you can get (and has a metro station very close as well). The staff were friendly and the breakfast had plenty of options as well
