We got a great room with a balcony view of the city. The AC (nor the minbar fridge) doesn’t work very well but we kept The balcony door open and that helped. Staff was helpful and it was in a very excellent location. Would stay here again.

Un hotel de no lujo, algo antiguo, pero muy bien situado y cómodo. Los servicios necesarios y buena atracción. Estuvimos en el de Ramblas al regreso porque el del centro lo iban a cerrar por remodelación. El de Ramblas está tambien bien situado, buen servicio y mas moderno.

Nice location but horrible internet & CS
I definitely wouldn't come here again. The internet never worked in our room (2nd floor), only in the lobby and even then, it was on&off. Every time I pointed it out to the staff they said they'll call the internet company, but there was no improvement. One of the receptionists (the fat one with beard, in case the property management is curious) arrogantly told me that a 20 seconds load time for a website is normal and that I need to pay 10 euros if I want "premium" internet. Mind you, this review is written in 2018, not 1998. If you DO have to stay at this hotel, make sure to ask for a room that doesn't have the windows towards the interior yard, because those are extremely poorly lit.

Centrally located hotel - in Barri Gotic
Centrally located hotel in Barri Gotic, walking distance to many areas and within a bloc of the Gotic Cathedral and Catalunya square. Also walking distance to Casa Batlo and Casa Mila (la Pedrera). Bus tours available near by at the Catalunya square. Staff were helpful when we requested an upgrade to our room since we were going to be there for 9 nights. The first room was a tad small. An additional 10 euros got us a bit more space. The only real issue with the hotel was the housekeeping. While the room was made every day and was clean, most days it necessitated a call to the front desk to replenish toiletries, hand towels, coffee, notepad etc.

the hotel was excellent but since you invite criticism there were no English speaking channels apart from one station commenting on the American stock exchange why you think I want to listen to a load of boring yanks droning on 24/7 I don,t know.If reception is a problem why don,t you put BBC World Service radio on instead Thank You
