Visit the Nothe Fort for a historical background of the area. The harbour is also a lovely walk with many pubs, shops and dining establishments. We ate at the Rona Bar and Grill Turkish restaurant on St Thomas street. Reasonably priced and tasty food

Parking in Weymouth is expensive although there are many car parks so need a B&B or hotel with a car park or come on public transport. Very clean, beautiful beach and quayside and a fair size town for shopping suitable for all ages.

I simply love Weymouth. Beach kept in beautiful order with many amusements for kids. Inexpensive open top bus rides and boat trips. Northe Fort was very interesting and had fabulous view points. Will have to return to explore more soon.

We stayed for a night off season, which meant our dog was allowed on the beach which he really enjoyed. There are interesting walks both ways along the coast, plus lots of shops and pubs in the town. We enjoyed our stay.
"Parking is a nightmare all year around.
The hotel staff are lovely. The hotel is slowly being modernised. We decided to stay an extra night and was able to experience an updated and quieter room which was lovely
Both rooms were clean and tidy. "
"We only stayed the one night but would have no qualms about staying again. The family room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Best of all were the staff who were all very helpful and welcoming."
"We had a lovely stay at Driftwood B&B. From the moment we arrived, Peter, the owner, made us feel incredibly welcome. He kindly allowed us to check in early as the room was already available, which was a much-appreciated gesture after a long journey.
The room itself was spotlessly clean and tidy, with a newly refurbished bathroom that looked great and felt very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous selection of tea and coffee sachets, which added a nice touch.
Breakfast was simple but just right, with a good variety to choose from—including cereal, Weetabix, porridge, toast, fruit, butter, jam, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Everything was fresh and well presented.
Overall, the service was excellent, and we really appreciated the warm hospitality. I would happily recommend Driftwood B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing and friendly place to stay. We’d definitely return!"
"Lovely friendly couple greeted us and checked if we need ed anything made the effort to come out and say good by and wish us satmfe journey couldn't fault it people some times judge my son as he has autism but was not even questioned here absolutely superb "
"I had a lovely stay. The owners/staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Even though it’s connected to a pub you couldn’t hear a thing. The bed was comfy and the ensuite bathroom was gorgeous The only negatives are, I couldn’t leave my window open as there was an easily accessible large ledge right outside and the window could be opened fully from the outside if left open so I didn’t feel safe to leave open. The parking is a small walk (2 mins) and you have to park in a loading bay to check in and then get the parking permit which wasn’t fully explained when I booked. I would definitely stay here again. "
