I had a wonderful stay at Thon Hotel Ålesund. It’s the most comfortable hotel in my trip ( I tried 4 hotels) that I would highly recommend to stay for your travel. The hotel surrounding is quiet, safe and with plenty nice restaurants and bar options, super convenient. It also close to a light house which great for sunset or after dinner walk. The hotel breakfast offers wide range of food options, all are fresh and delicious. The room facilities are well maintained and clean, very nice design with many mirror at the room. The bed is very comfortable. I would love to stay here again if I visit Ålesund.

Fantastic Stay. Beautiful views of Alesund.
Hotel Alesund is fantastic. The location is perfect and the views are breathtaking. They also serve a wonderful breakfast. My only critique would be that upon arriving, the front desk could have been friendlier. The lady behind the desk gave me a blank stare when I arrived, and when I mentioned that I wanted to check in, she sort of coldly told me to come back at 3 PM. A simple "welcome to our hotel" would have gone a long way. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel, and would be delighted to staty again.

Great location and view. Everything was fine except for the most awful (and expensive) fish and chip dinner one night. Reception staff were lovely but it is not really a top tier hotel in any way. It is a good standard hotel, though.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel; I had a queen bed, superior room. It was very clean, daily room cleaning, great view, nice & new decor/furniture, comfortable bed, all needed room & bathroom amenities (including safe, mini fridge, robe, & best of all Nespresso machine with amazing coffee capsules). The breakfast buffet was super good with a lot of variety and the service was very professional. The reception staff was genuinely kind & helpful.

Lovely hotel right on the water in a lovely little city. Great buffet breakfast where we got to try various Norwegian fare and good dining options within easy walking distance. Hotel restaurant’s dinner menu is somewhat limited but well done. Good location: just a few minutes’ walk on mostly flat ground from the ferry docks.
