The lift was out of order and the woman offered to help with my luggage and they were able to arrange a taxi for me in the morning. My room was spacious and modern. It benefitted from a small balcony to sit out on. The breakfast selection was good and a great selection of cheese, fruit and traditional baguettes. A short stroll from the hotel takes to to the old town and the train station is close by."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Bergerac
- Book for the cheapest times: Bergerac is a great destination for travellers on a budget, particularly in January, February, and November when hotels may drop to lower prices. For an enriching experience exploring landmarks, history, and culture—including a visit to the local winery, monuments, museums, a marina, and perhaps a leisurely walk through the area—a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal. This affordable and budget-friendly destination offers great value for money, making it a smart choice for those seeking a cultural escape.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover attractive deals for Bergerac hotels by visiting the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. If you're planning a spontaneous trip, the Last-Minute Deals section could help you find discounted hotel options close to your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, Hotels.com offers the Smart Shopping tool via its app, a handy comparison tool to help you compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay informed about any opportunities to save.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay at a Bergerac hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels offer a more personalised atmosphere and may provide better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it is on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you plan to visit. Independent hotels located further away are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
