Never Again
Once we arrived, they let us know we went be able to stay in the original room we booked because we had our baby with us and put us in a lower level room that was not as nice as the room we reserved and already paid for. They refused to give us even a partial refund. We also had a terrible ant problem in our room, reported it, and nothing was done about it. Breakfast is $50 for two people and the buffet is the same everyday. Not very clean. Even mentioned to a couple locals we were staying there and th eir reactions alone let us know we made the wrong choice. Would not go back.

Perfect beach resort
Fantastic beach resort! We loved the two sheltered lagoons for swimming and snorkeling. There wasn’t a ton to see but we found some fish in the left lagoon by the rocks. The grounds and pool were immaculate. Cabanas and beach chairs were included. We thought the restaurant was just okay, but there are 4 or 5 very nice small restaurants about a 5 minute walk away. Staff were pleasant and helpful, particular shoutout to the front desk staff and to Shayna at Blues!

This was my wife’s and my first time in Curacao. Avila made it a wonderful experience due to its amenities, location, and staff. Property had two private beaches with plenty of chairs. The area was well maintained. Food was above average for resort food, but down the street there is 4-5 restaurants and the hotel is only 10 minute walk from downtown. What made the property stand out was the attention and friendliness of the staff.
