The old town - La Vagueta is definitely worth a visit. Buses around the town are really good. Perhaps buy a 10 journey card for 8 euros 50, from San Telmo bus station. Instead of paying 1.40 per journey. Las Canteras sandy beach is great for swim

Great city and well worth visiting. It has a great historic quarter well worth a vist, a superb beach with big waves for surfing, plenty of bars, restaurants, and shopping options, and, of course, beautiful sunshine all year round.

We appreciated the excellent & inexpensive bus network. La Vegueta district was especially charming and we enjoyed discovering the El Confital nature reserve area. The selection of affordable places to eat & drink was terrific.

The island has so much to offer - do make sure you visit some of the smaller towns and mountain region in the centre, the buses are excellent and will take you anywhere. Friendly locals.

Driving is a bit of a challenge due to one way roads. Parking on the street the spaces are very tight! Must have excellent parallel parking skills or find a parking garage!!

Hotel is 10 yards from the top of the Playa de la Canteras which is a great city centre beach, with plenty of cafes, shops, restaurants. Old town is a couple of miles South. Long walk or 6-9 Euros in a taxi (regular buses for €1.50)
"We loved our stay at ART viviendas. The suites were very comfortable. It's location is perfect, easy access to highways and a 5 minute walk to the beach. "
"This hotel is a beautiful modern gem in a historic city. Room was spotless, bed was super comfortable and you can even sign into your Netflix! Tea/coffee and water was provided complementary and there is a mini fridge too where you can keep your drinks/snacks cool.
The roof top bar/pool was just perfect. A quiet retreat during the day, with a small pool to dip in, and a chilled ambiance by evening, with cocktails and snacks available to purchase.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and extremely helpful in providing us with support and information about getting around and travelling to the south of the island.
Very well located. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around and a super market just a short walk away. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again if I come back to Las Palmas. "
"The best thing about this hotel is the staff and the food. The property is a lovely art deco style building that needs some updating but the rooms are spacious and the views of the port are great.
The third time we have stayed here, the buffet breakfast is great with a nice selection and the food in the bar is great too.
Staff are always so friendly and accommodating.
Close to bus connections, easy walk to Triana where there is a great selection of shops and restaurants.
Kids love the pool on the roof terrace although it was a bit windy during our stay so we didn’t spend too much time there.
