When the beach is calling your name, you might want to head down to Whitesands Bay, located 2.2 mi (3.5 km) from central St. David's and the Cathedral Close. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Abereiddi Bay, Porthlysgi Bay and Caerbwdy Bay.
Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at The Blue Lagoon during your travels in Abereiddy. While you're in the area, stroll along the beaches.
Notable for its castle, Haverfordwest features attractions such as Roch Castle and Newgale Beach. The city has something for everyone including sights like Marloes Sands and Porthgain Harbour within a rural setting.
Easy to walk to shops, pubs, cafes, and the beautiful cathedral. Not far to walk to the coast path.

Excellent
Hotels.com thinks this hotel is in Haverfordwest. It's actually in lovely St David's. For an early June weekday visit the town is not touristy. There's a good choice of great food and local drinks. Get walking around the cathedral and costal path

Good
Since it is only 30 minutes away from Marloes it's a good option when visiting Skomer if hotels in Marloes are full. Shops and a lot of restaurants close early which is good to bear in mind. The Riverwalk was nice

Hotel Mariners
10/10 Excellent
"I will commence by stating that this is not my first visit to The Mariner's. It is and will be my first choice for staying in Haverfordwest. So, clearly, i have stayed in a large number of their rooms.
You have to know or remember that the building is historic having been in operation since 1625, so don't expext the rooms to be uniform in proportion. Having said that, they are generously sized with, for the most part, large and bright bathrooms. The room i had this time had the largest shower i have ever seen in any hotel. Simply stunning.
The location of the hotel perfect being close to the town centre and the castle.
The car park is also very good.
You will enjoy really good breakfast options and i can recommend the hotel bar / restaurant for an evening meal. Not expensive either.
The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful."
"I can’t recommend The Wolfscastle Inn enough.. staff were soo attentive, welcoming and lovely! ( Seb/Richard and ladies) The food at the inn was delicious, breakfasts and dinners! ( nice one Seb and team) The family room was perfect, plenty of space and cosy and clean.. I’ll definitely be back! Perfect location and such a cosy pub to return too. Richard even provided us with free takeaway drinks for our journey home, so thoughtful. Such a great stay! 👌👌🎉"
"Cannot fault this hotel, it is beautiful, very clean, room was super! Great staff, parking is great, breakfast was delicious too! Will definitely be back here "
"We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, drove over 4hrs and was not disappointed. The grounds are absolutely stunning, our room was simply amazing. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough to make your stay comfortable. The cooked breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be back soon. The rare bats that live in the tower are a really lovely feature to an already incredible venue, when we arrived it was dusk and they were very active, a real sight to behold. Next time we come, we will be staying longer, one night just isnt enough here! Thank you again for a wonderful stay. "
"Roch Castle Hotel ticks all the boxes for a superb and unique experience. The hotel exudes luxury but in a calm and peaceful manner. A sympathetic restoration leaves many of the castles features evident in most rooms and public rooms. "
