The property Is in a good location and is within walking distance of Waverley Train station and bus station. There are many restaurants and shops for all tastes as expected from any large city. The hotel itself could do with some renovation and building work in certain areas, but it does a great hot breakfast in the mornings and the staff are great and attentive to all your needs.

This hotel was our home base for two weeks as we checked in/checked out three times to stay between our multi-day Rabbie’s Tours of various areas in Scotland. It was super close to where we were to start and end each tour (right around the corner), served excellent breakfasts with multiple options, and was a relaxing, comfortable hotel with helpful, friendly staff.
