Jaco has many types of fun attracting many different type of tourists, from surfers to just people who want to chill. The night life is entertaining and the beach is great to walk from one end to the other.

The city is busy with shopping and restaurants! Great to stay 10 minutes out of the crazy busy. Locals are extremely friendly and helpful. We would recommend this vacation!

A lot of people come to Jaco for the beach experience and so did we. However the town is a bit rundown nothing exciting. I would recommend to shop around for souvenirs as prices vary between stores and they will give you a cash discount in most.

Jaco was a pleasant surprise. It is no where near as crowded or expensive as Tamarindo. Its still a beach town but still felt comfortable.

Playa Hermosa is about 10 minutes Jaco, which is great because it is nice and quiet but close enough to Jaco if you want more nightlife

A busy tourist type town, very hot weather but right on the beach. The most expensive town we were in.CR as a whole was pricey.

"We are so happy we chose this hotel for our vacation. Having all-inclusive makes everything else so much easier to do like day tours, beach time, pool time etc. The only thing we marked 4 stars instead of 4 is related to how the housekeeping doesn’t refresh towels and how you have to go to the front desk to request them and other items like bottled water (only two regular sized bottles at a time) soap. Despite this minor issue we were so happy with our stay here and hope to return!"
"Hotel Pumillio mountain and ocean hotel is located just outside of main Jaco. Fairly easy drive to it's location. Hotel has an automatic gate for security with its own private parking area. Upon arriving you're greeted with the sounds of nature and smiles from the staff. TEEJAY and his staff are wonderful and accommodating. The massage manager Warner not only helpful in booking massages he was very helpful with local cuisine suggestions. The cafe on site is nothing short of incredible with food made from scratch. Fresh ingredients and positive attitudes from Jonathan the chef creating an amazing experience. Not only did they make my stay at the hotel an outstanding experience Teejay and his team always had our best interest in mind. Upon arriving they gathered some information on our plans and noticed an oddity in our tour reservation. Teejay went above and beyond to confirm I wasn't being taken advantage of or being asked to meet somewhere not safe. In conclusion the team made it an unforgettable experience with hopes of returning sooner rather than later"

"I have to say that this was a first class operation! Everyone from the front desk to the owner worked so ridiculously hard to make our stay fantastic. The food there was stupendous and the cocktails were amazing. I am from South Florida and it was a step above. The rooms were small, but they were tastefully decorated so it wasnt cramped feeling. My daughter and i were there for 3 days and it was a refreshing change. Beds were really comfortable!
