If you're going to walk up to the convent on the hill, I recommend taking the long way through the forest Mata Nacional dos Sete Montes. The views of the convent and castle are better than you'll see from anywhere else.

Good
The Convent and Castle are definitely worth a visit, and the town is historic in the old part, but apart from that it's essentially a small Portuguese town

"Clean and well located guest house but be aware that the parking is not on-site and you will need to park 5 mn walk away on a public parking place. Room was nice and bed comfortable. We took the breakfast onsite and it was what you would expect. "
