The Usual Rotterdam

The Usual Rotterdam

8/10 Good
"The hotel was very clean. The sustainability goals are wonderful and the concept is great. The contact to the staff was through WhatsApp and an AI which was not great. Our room was very hot. The system was central control and when I asked the AI to cool it turned on the heat. After multiple attempts to communicate, I had to get dressed again and go to the lobby to find a human. The room was nice and the pillows were great but the mattress could have been better. We would probably stay again but next time would discuss the room temperature before we tried to sleep."

8/10 Good
"Staying on a beautifully preserved cruise liner built nearly 70 years ago was a unique experience for me. We really enjoyed it! However, the hotel owners perhaps went a bit overboard in trying to recreate a 1960s atmosphere in the cabins. The furniture isn't particularly comfortable. We were especially disappointed by the bed setup: two separate twin-size mattresses were placed on a king-size frame, topped with two twin-size mattress toppers. The whole arrangement kept shifting apart during the night, so we had to wake up and readjust it. But overall, we were left with a very good impression. A spacious and clean cabin, friendly and helpful staff, a very good breakfast at a reasonable price, convenient shuttle transportation and free parking in a spacious lot."

Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station by IHG

10/10 Excellent
"Central location, close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. Included breakfasts were very good. There was construction of the street out front of the hotel, but it did not impact the quietness of the rooms. For North Americans travelling in Europe, be aware the are not mini fridges in most hotels."
