I can’t praise this place enough. Stayed as apart of our European Road Trip during the heatwave and this place was exactly what we needed after a long day exploring Maastricht. We had the superior room (the largest double that wasn’t a suit) it was decorated perfectly, mix of modern and historic works great.
The whole building is so picturesque!
A/C in the room was awesome, think this was a new addition? - if i have to be picky, the A/C was noisy when we arrived but the dripping/tapping noise...
A welcoming check in. Room comfortable, spacious and well equipped. An excellent breakfast buffet and attentive service. The restaurant is shared with a sister hotel actually on the main square. It falls slightly short of the website's fine dining description but nonetheless offers a reasonable choice, though somewhat limited for vegetarians. The food was well cooked,well presented, and reasonably priced.
Great hotel large but well run. Stayed here en route to Germany. Had a great splash in the pool before searching for kid friendly food in the local area. There is an Ikea in the retail park opposite that served a great cheap breakfast. We used the pool and this was nice to relax in after the long journey. Set of the next next thoroughly refreshed. Nice modern updated room. Easy access to the pool for the kids.
We stayed here to attend a concert in the Vrijthof of Andre Rieu. Only 5 to 10 min walk from the Vrijthof. Breakfast was excellent. Staff could not be more helpful. Nice room with lovely coffee machine. We would recommend this hotel to stay if you are going to one of Andre Rieu’s concerts or for doing all the touristy things. Everything is so close. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to return some day soon.
I booked the Beaumont, but what used to be an annex is now a separate hotel called the Dutch. I cannot find fault with the Dutch. The staff are outstanding, the rooms immaculate and location (close to the train station and the city centre) and price excellent. They have a revolutionary idea of offering a free mini bar, which is a superb gesture of kindness after having travelled for hours.
The hotel room (triple) was really spacious with 2 toilets and great decor. We only stayed one night but the general feel was premium and great for a 4 star. Good location.
