The one inconvenience is that keeps me from giving 5 stars was that there was no one to call when you need anything, even if you place a request on their portal. They don’t deliver unless you’re staying multiple nights, The chat didn’t work. They gave us 2 coffee pods for a group of 4 people.The Nearest store is a 20 min uphill walk to get coffee. They have a vending machine but no coffee pods. Coffee is very important to us."

"The staff were wonderful and so kind and helpful. We got in late after driving from tokyo after a 16 hour flight and we were so happy to walk into the room we had. It was clean, large and comfortable. When we woke up the next morning and opened our curtains we were met with the most gorgeous view of the ocean. The breakfast buffet was huge and had a wide variety of choices. You could enjoy eggs and bacon and pancakes or have a plate of sushi and a bowl of rice. Every breakfast drink you could think of. There was a vending machine on the first floor that had beer and water and juice and laundry facilities as well. Not to mention a spa and onsen. The beach was a short stroll from the back door through a beautiful walkway down the steps. If you find yourself in shimoda this is a wonderful choice for a place to call home."
