Antwerp's arty Old Town neighbourhood is loved for its museums and theatres, and visitors often enjoy its varied attractions, including Meir and Green Square.
If you like haggling for the best price, you might want to head out to Antwerp Market Square in Old Town and take in the atmosphere. Splash some more cash at Antwerp Flea Market, Meir and De Keyserlei.
It's feeding time at the zoo! If you want to be reminded of some of the great animals our world is home to, you might want to pay a visit to Antwerp Zoo, located 1.2 mi (1.9 km) from central Antwerp. If you have fun at Antwerp Zoo, you'll love Antwerp Botanical Garden and Indoor Karting Antwerpen, both located nearby.
You can browse the exhibits at Museum Aan de Stroom, a museum with a story of its own, during your holiday in Antwerp. While you're in the area, find time to visit its shops.
Antwerp is applauded for its museums and art with such cultural attractions as Plantin-Moretus Museum and ModeMuseum. This historical city has something for everyone including its cathedral, cafes and sights like Steen Castle and Antwerp Market Square.
What a wonderful city. I thought that maybe 5 days would be too long but it was great to have the leisure to choose from the many attractions ( even the Art Deco zoo- although the animals are a bit sad and it's very expensive ) .

A great place to visit because although there is lots to see and do it is also a working town with a balance of local people and tourists. Good for major shops. Some lovely bars and this being Belgium, great beers too.

Perfect for an enjoyable short break, a place where old meets new and with plenty to do. For those wanting somewhere to visit that feels safe and easy to navigate, Antwerp offers both.

Surprising - not as quaint as Bruges or Ghent, but has lovely bars and old town section near the Grote Market. The Christmas Market is poor, but Saturday and Sunday markets near the theatre area are great. Fabulous bars and amazing shopping.

Antwerp marathon was on while there but it did not have any adverse effect on our tour in fact it made great entertainment
"This hotel is very close to U Antwerp and was reasonably priced. It is on a small, quiet street one Metro stop from Antwerpen Centraal - although I walked the distance with two bags quiet easily. Rooms are furnished comfortably. Wifi is good but no television/cable service. A separately-managed cafe/snack bar on the ground floor serves breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices; i.e. coffee and a croissant for 5 euros. This hotel has electronic check-in and check-out to keep costs down. My electronic check-in was not working and there was a staff member who assisted me with check-in. Electronic check-out worked for me and took less than 5 seconds."
"Loved the location, facilities, wellness, and how comfortable the hotel was. Unfortunately the tv in the room didn’t work and the hotel was having problems with the wifi so that explains the tv also. Overal 9/10"
"Fourth time staying here, I particularly like the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel .All the staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for their guests. The rooms are a good size with queen beds and modern hanging space. The only thing missing is a fridge which as most guests only stay for a night or two I don’t suppose the hotel feels it is warranted."
