Delightful stay at Villa Magdelena, lots of room in the family suite and lovely to be able to enjoy the outside space. Gorgeous house and a very friendly owner.
Great hotel, central but in a quiet area. Breakfast is costly for leisure visitors €33/€35 per day. Lots of nearby cafes & restaurants. Very clean great rooms, very pleasant environment. Faultless. Reception is very helpful & friendly, relaxed environment. Lovely Spa, sauna & small pool, a real oasis in the city. Easy links to train station by trams T1, T3 & T4 with stops nearby (often not shown on google planner. Just be careful you go in the correct direction! Costs €2.50 just touch in with...
Hotel is just outside the historic centre which means it’s quieter at night but 5mins walk and you’re in the centre. Hotel is very clean, staff helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Love the selection of fruit and the homemade granola at breakfast. Nice touches in the room such as the slippers. Would stay here again if I go back to ghent
One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Absolutely beautiful and the decorations for Christmas were stunning. We loved spending time in the lounge area by the fire, the breakfast was very tasty and the hotel is in the perfect location. Would highly recommend.
My ownly fault, and this isnt unique to this hotel, is that we paid an additional price for our four month son to stay (which is expected). Then when checking in online, we were asked to pay an extra price for a cot. That's like...
Lovely hotel. V quiet and lovely location very close to the centre of Brugges. I will 100% book again if visiting Brugges. A fantastic town, made even nicer by this gorgeous hotel. The room was fantastic. Facilities are way more than expected and all tastefully decorated.
Clean room, very comfortable bed. Would have preferred a bath instead of a shower. On-site secure parking. Exceptional food and breakfast. Family owned and operated which clearly shows pride in what they do. High recommend. Definitely would return
Great hotel for relaxing stay away from the hustle & bustle of city life. Near enough to Gent for sight seeing, shopping etc and well worth the short drive from the E40 if looking for an overnight stop.
Difficult to fault this hotel and breakfast was fantastic.
We also enjoyed an evening meal but price will be on the higher side.
For us this was a perfect stay, such a treat. The hotel is spotless, the decor faultless and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever stayed away from home in. My husband had the all clear from cancer the week before and was given the thumbs up to travel so we needed a quiet break and this hotel ticked all the boxes. It's quiet central location to the main town is ideal and it's in a very quiet location with a canal right outside the front. The staff were all so welcoming without being...
Great apartment in a great location. The place was equipped with everything needed. It was very modern and comfortable.
The only downside is the noise from residents above or nextdoor. Also if you choose to use the car park provided by the hotel, it is not at the same location. The car park is a shared lot situated a couple of mins walk away in a residential block. You will need to check in prior to parking as you are provided with a fob to access the car park. This will then need to be...
Hotel was a gem. Located a short walk from everything. Our room was charming and comfortable. The bed was lux.
Some of the desk staff came across as aloof but that didn’t dampen our delight at the view we had from our window-the beautiful canal.
The walls of the hotel are hundreds of years old and a foot thick allowing one to open the windows and sit in the sill and sip wine while watching the ducks float by.
Breakfast was expansive and delicious-well worth the $20 per person.
I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great reasonably priced option to explore the city. The location is fantastic being directly opposite the impressive cathedral and being only a few minutes walk to the Korenmarkt.
Whilst it is quite a basic hotel with just a bar and restaurant if you are like me and planning a trip to Ghent and just need a central point to rest whilst you explore the city this is perfect.
