If you like haggling for the best price, you might want to head out to Antwerp Market Square in Historisch Centrum and take in the atmosphere. Splash some more cash at Antwerp Flea Market, Meir, and Nationalestraat.
It's feeding time at the zoo! If you want to be reminded of some of the great animals our world is home to, you might want to pay a trip to Antwerp Zoo, located 1.2 mi (1.9 km) from central Antwerp. If you have fun at Antwerp Zoo, you'll love Antwerp Botanical Garden and Butcher's Hall, both located nearby.
You can browse the exhibits at Museum Aan de Stroom, a museum with a story of its own, during your travels to Antwerp. While you're in the area, find time to visit its shops.
Cathedral of Our Lady is just one of the places to see in Antwerp, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? While you're in the area, find time to visit its shops.

Van der Valk Hotel Park Lane Antwerpen
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel decor is lovely; fragranced candles provide a lovely welcome. The family suite was spacious - especially as there were only two of us, but a little disappointed that there was only one toilet - it would better suite a family to have two separate bathrooms. That said - the rainfall shower was the best I have experienced and the bath is generously sized - surprisingly deep too! Very comfortable bed; lots of useful storage. Good standard of cleanliness and complimentary chocolates, tea, coffee and parking included in the cost of the suite. Can’t comment on breakfast because we opted to go out earlier rather than spend 35 euros each on the breakfast buffet. Highly recommend Capri Coffee at the Antwerp Central Station - 10 minute walk away and the most fantastic selection of bagels and baguettes! We did eat at the hotel one evening - great food and great service in lovely setting- definitely recommend an evening meal at the hotel restaurant.
Gym and spa facilities were really good. Pool you can actually swim lengths in and nice jacuzzi and sauna. Steam room wasn’t in use when we were there.
The hotel is in a great location - 10-20 minute walk into the centre. 10 minutes the other direction is Antwerp Central. Trams run fairly regularly and are reasonably cheap and easy to navigate - was fun to get back from a night out on the tram.
All in all a fab stay - we loved our first visit to Antwerp - would do it again and would also stay at the same hotel!"
