This family run elegant hotel is the best, the staff and owners are friendly and warm-hearted, the hotel decoration is unique and elegant, very clean, the food is delicious and fresh. The location is about 10-15 minutes from the bus terminal but they can pick you up for free. All rooms are facing the ocean. The shampoo and body wash is Pola brand. My only tiny complaint is the Onsen water temperature is a bit high that you need to slowly get into the water. I will come back if I visit Shiretoko...
Very large hotel. Very helpful staff. On checkout day there had been heavy snow the nightmare whihc might have prevented me getting to the aiport. Staff were on top of situation and had already offered an extra night at a discounted rate if I was unable to depart as planned. In the end it wasnt needed but I was allowed to delay my check out time. Also helpful with sending diving gear ahead of check in
This was a bit expensive for us, especially as it is a hostel and a bit out of town (20 min walk), but it was actually very nice indeed. The superb onsen was absolutely lovely with sea view, there was a nice reception, the shared lounge was enormous with amazing view and there was easy parking. We had a nice meal out at a friendly (recommended) local restaurant. Shiretoke is a truly beautiful nature reserve and well worth a visit. We were happy we stayed here.
