Quepos is well known for its natural beauty and seaside, while attractions include Marina Pez Vela and Manuel Antonio Nature Park & Wildlife Refuge. This beachside city has something for everyone including sights like Playa La Macha and Biesanz Beach.
The little town has a little bit of everything. Tons of ice cream shops, lots of places to eat, cute shops, a beautiful beach walk. But the town is really torn up. Particularly the side walks and streets. Proceed with caution.

Makanda is the perfect blend of resort level service near "real" Costa Rica. We went to the Quepos farmers market, walked the public beaches, and enjoyed the serene private beach that Makanda offered.

Small town with windy little roads, did not spend time exploring it but plenty of restaurants and grocery shopping, close to national park and beaches.

"This hotel definitely has the best views in Manuel Antonio. The sunset and the view of the ocean were absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel restaurant during sunset. We were on the top floor with ocean view and it was stunning.
The only issue was that the elevator would go up to our floor but it wouldn’t go down. We didn’t mind walking down the stairs but it was tough when we were going to check out and had to carry our luggage. "
"Stayed with my family including two teen boys. The hotel was fantastic! All the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We arrived over 2 hours before check-in with the hope of using the laundry facilities. Even though we were very early Jose said our room was ready and allowed us to check in early. They do not have a laundry room, but they offer laundry services. We had the laundry picked up and dropped off quite promptly. They offer a free morning nature walk through the hanging bridges and trails on the property for overnight guests. The property is amazing! We saw so much wild life from the comfort of our balcony which included a hammock chair. Pack your binoculars! Other reviews mentioned the construction. They worked during the day while we were out exploring so it didn’t bother us at all. The on site restaurant had good options at reasonable prices. We ate there twice for dinner. Breakfast was very good. The only thing they could do better is have some Salsa Lizano for breakfast! I love that stuff!"
