Had the most wonderful stay at Ballyseede castle. Felt totally relaxed with a lovely homely feel. Staff were so nice and food delicious. Lots of rooms to just hang out and enjoy some quiet time . One night stay but wish I could have stayed longer although I had been looking for a hotel closer to Killarney centre the Fossa walk from the Hotel to Killarney (about 8 KM return) is suitable for all as it is flat all the way so good for walking or cycle and any age although day light hours more suitable, Taxi not expensive.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of April. The hotel was fabulous & the staff were amazing very friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed in a suite, pure luxury! A little hard to find because my GPS had the wrong location. Searched Murphy's Bar and found the B&B quickly as it's right up the street. Mrs. Murphy greeted us at the door when we arrived. Room was comfortable. The walls are pretty thin, although it wasn't a problem as we must have had very quiet neighbors. Can't fault the Rose, you get the famous Irish welcome, it's clean, smart, and staff are attentive, good choice of drinks in Dotts bar and the food is very good. It was first real visit to Ireland and I think we've been spoilt, would we go back to the Rose, Yes without a doubt, when we come back to Kerry.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The facilities were clean and user friendly. The food was very good with a large choice. The only drawback was the car park was about a 250 mtrs walk away, although you were able to temporarily park outside the entrance (if the space was available) to unload/load your cases.
