"The hotel is conveniently located within walking distances of city center. Vibrant town with shopping and dinning close. Tourist information was available in the lobby. Language barrier upon checking in making it a challenge to get checked in. The automated check in, emails, reception all in German. Be patient during you stay if using translation apps. We were able to get by without any major issues. The breakfast in the morning is worth the extra charge. Nice setting and convenient so you don’t have to leave the hotel. Overall, our stay was pleasant and would recommend this location. "

"This is a lovely place to stay. Kathrin the owner very friendly and helpful, her English is excellent. The hotel is beautifully decorated and you can buy toiletries, snacks and drinks. Comfy bed, nice pillows, decent WiFi. Shower took a while to warm up but was excellent when it did. Effective and easy to adjust heating. The breakfast buffet is superb. Theres no lift but there are some ground floor rooms and at worst you have to go up 2 flights of stairs. The hotel is on a quiet street but gets some noise from the nearby main road and railway station. It is a 2 minute walk from the railway station but about 1km walk into the center of Wernigerode. Theres a few places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk. Overall its a lovely place to stay and i would be delighted to return "
