Cahal Pech Village Resort
8/10 Good
"We stayed in a cute cabana just a minutes walk from the main building. It was slow season so some renovations going on, but all the staff were awesome and a big shoutout to the front desk staff Chris and Brenda who were the nicest people ever and helped us book tours or taxis and answered questions and had extra blankets or towels when we needed them. Beware of possible bugs in your room (you are in the jungle haha) but everything was nice enough, and a great pool to cool off in. You do have to get your drinking water from dispensers in the hotel, and be warned - the 10 minute walk up and down the hill to the resort is no joke haha. It was quite steep and then another 10-15 mins walk into town as well, so we did take taxis (5usd/10bzd) quite a bit; you’d be lucky to have a car here unless you don’t mind the hill (it gets hot!!). Only ate here a couple times (limited slow season menu) but it was decent food. We enjoyed our stay (and the great view!!!)"

"Fantastic place to stay if you want a little jungle feel while still being comfortable. Close to everything we wanted so explore. Staff were so accommodating. Beliezians really are amazing people."

"Very nice room and facilities. Nice patio with hammock. Staff friendly and helpful. Coffee shop does not open until 8 or later Several restaurants nearby, important to note, there are several restaurants on the street parallel to Burnes avenue - cut throught across from the Burnz resturant."

"Like many eco lodges in the area, rooms are basically screened-in porchs with adjustable shutters - perfect for the setting, but very exposed. So, I get up at 2:30am for a routine bathroom visit, and let me add the (surprisingly relevant) detail that it was the quick and quiet #1 variety. Just as I was back in bed turning off the light, someone in the dark just outside my window asked 'Are you alright?'. Startled, at first I assumed this was a conversation between 2 people coincidentally on the walk outside my room, and I did not respond. However, the person who identified as a security guard seemed to really want to start a conversation with me, and kept asking until I responded. If I was not fully awake before, I sure was now and hours after,"
Villa Massis Luxury Jungle Villas

"I can’t stay enough good things about our stay at Villa Massis! It was slow season so it was so quiet and secluded and felt like we were VIP with the place to ourselves! Beautiful grounds and felt like a true jungle oasis! The rooms were perfect with all the needed amenities and nice artwork. I loved the separate living room space which was perfect to accommodate our 1 year old’s pack and play. We did the pontoon boat tour with them which was an all day tour and some of the most incredible and secluded views I’ve ever seen! Staff was great. Definitely recommend!"
