Soggiorno La Cupola - Bed and Breakfast - ฟลอเรนซ์

I reserved a double room at this "Bed and Breakfast". I thought I had reserved a room with a private bathroom. Upon arrival I found that first of all the B & B was on the second floor with no elevator. Secondly, there was not a breakfast in the building. I was given a voucher to go to a cafe/bar across the street where I got to choose 1 pastry and 1 […] coffee. Thirdly, my room did NOT have a bathroom, I had to use the shared bathroom across the hall. One of the nights I was there other people had showered and left the floor soaking wet, I slipped and fell. I was not injured but very angry. There was no phone, alarm clock, or TV in my room. The Signora was very friendly and accommodating even though communicating was difficult (I speak limited italian and she spoke almost no english). The cleaning lady was lovely. After the initial surprise of discovering the accommodations were not what I thought they would be I did have a good time in Florence. The one shining glory of this place is the rooftop terrace. You must climb several more flights of stairs but once you do you come out on to the roof that looks directly at the dome of the Duomo about 200 yards away with nothing blocking your view. During the daytime it is exciting, sunset and night time it is incredibly beautiful and romantic. The rooftop terrace and the inexpensive price made up for the disappointment of the room. We were given the triple with a very commanding view of the centro historico, and of the duomo. Big room, good beds. This is for place is a fantastic value for those who are in the the know about Italy and how it functions. I would not reccommend this for first time travelers to Italy or those that liked to be pampered. It is not manned around the clock, so make sure you have confirmed your arrival time and have their phone number and have access or know how to use […] public phones to contact them in case they are not there to meet you. They will arrive in minutes. We stayed in the room with a private bath and a great view of the duomo out of a big beautiful circular old window. The room was simple, spacious and very clean. Unless you are used to staying in these types of pensiones, you will find the bathroom shockingly small, but it also was very clean. The location can not be beat. Close enough from the train station to arrive by foot with luggage and not be exhausted (less than 10 mins), but far enough to be removed from the riff-raff found near trains stations. The duomo is a short walk away, and plenty of places to grab breakfast or snacks only feet away. No elevator, but only 2 floors up. I stayed in October, so room temperature was quite comfortable. Soggiorno La Cupola Bed & Breakfast har en veldig bra beliggenhet om man kommer til Stazione di Santa Maria Novella med tog eller med buss til buss-stasjonen samme sted. Det er bare noen få minutters spasertur til hotellet og det er enda kortere vei til katedralen i Firenze. Bedre kan det ikke bli. Det mest negative ved dette overnattingsstedet var […] at vi i løpet av våre to døgn i Firenze aldri så noen representant for hotellet etter at vi hadde fått utlevert nøklene. I ettertid innså vi at det gav god mening at vi skulle betale ved ankomst istedenfor ved avreise to dager senere, for det var jo ingen å henvende seg til da vi forlot hotellet. Vi fikk derimot oppgitt tre ulike telefonnummer (uten angivelse av navn) som vi kunne ringe til dersom det oppsto en prekær situasjon. Det er ellers en tilsnikelse å operere med betegnelsen 'Bed & Breakfast' for dette etablissementet, for den såkalte frokosten skulle inntas i en annen gate, på Bar Madia i Via del Giglio (riktignok ikke langt unna, og stedet var lett å finne), og den besto av en kopp kaffe og et lite stykke søtt bakverk, punktum. Men bevares, det var svært rimelig overnatting og et gunstig alternativ for den som ikke trenger tre eller fire stjerners hotell. Ettersom vi begge snart blir sytti år, vil vi nok ikke satse på et overnattingstilbud uten stjernerangering ved et eventuelt neste besøk i Firenze. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

hotelli oli asunto mihin oli tehty hotelli huoneet, vähän koti henkinen. huoneet ei erityisen hienot, mutta hintalaatu suhde hyvä. huippua oli kattoterassi josta oli hyvät näkymät ja sijainti hyvä.

Läget är det bästa med detta hotell. Ligger nära både tågstation och Duomen. Takterassen ger fantastisk utsikt. Men skicket på hotellet och rummet var sådär.
