"Great Location and Accomodation"
Upsides: Great low price, modern amenities, great location Downside: Hard to find; not for people who require lot's of handholding This hotel is great for what it is, and as a result is frequently booked full at short notice by foreigners and Chinese. If you are familiar with the city, don't require concierge or 24 hour room service, then this hotel […] is perfect. It is walking distance to the Airport Express Subway, so you can get from the plane to the hotel without setting foot in a car (as I have done). Next to the Airport Express is Dongzhimen subway station, and a bus station, so the hotel is near kind of a minor transportation hub in the city. And of course cabs are everywhere in this part of town. The rooms are modern studio/apartments, with all the amenities including clothes washing machines (in china, dryers are not common, so people use drying racks, which are included in the apartments), stoves, microwaves, refrigerator, TV, iron/ironing board. In some rooms there are small hotel safes. Very comfortable. Did I mention huge soaking tubs? Since the hotel is in a higher-end residential apartment community, security is great and the place has a very safe feel. Lots of choice for food shopping and entertainment. in one direction, you have a mall and several shops near the Dongzhimen subway station; in the other you have the shops, malls, restaurants, bars and clubs in the Sanlitun area. In the surrounding block are restaurants of varying prices and tastes, from cheap kiosk to high end dining. All the food delivery places are familiar with the location, so food delivery is an option also. And the price cannot be beat. A hotel with comparable amenities would be 50 dollars higher. Of course, like I implied above, the concierge and room services are minimal. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful; but it's a very small operation, and if you need heavy handholding, you may come away disappointed. "Pas évident d'accès mais agréable"
Appartements situés dans une résidence habitée notamment par des expatriés. Difficile à trouver (au moins 10 minutes à pied de la station de métro Dongzhimen). Une fois arrivé devant la résidence, il faut appeler la gérante pour qu'elle vienne vous chercher. La prestation est toutefois très professionnelle, et l'appartement agréable.
