Pointe Plaza Hotel - บรุกลีน

...to be near family in Brooklyn...and it was very clean. Earlier reviews helped us decide to stay here. The housekeeping staff was excellent as was desk staff. We were able to park on the street (being mindful of all no parking times). Unique neighborhood. Will return.

Better than I expected. Clean rooms and reasonable rates. Included microwave, stove and refrigerator.

The hotel was an inexpensive alternative to staying in Manhattan. The subway was a little bit of a walk and we were right in the middle of a Jewish neighborhood. Not many restaurants but it was quiet and served its purpose. Hot water did not work and there was no compensation by managment for that. This place was great! Beautiful building, quiet neighborhood, only 5 blocks from the subway! The breakfast was much better than the average hotel "Continental breakfast" and the ladies who worked the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful, as were all the people who worked the desk while I stayed there. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated and […] I heard no noise from inside of the hotel. I did hear some from the street, but it's New York; that's to be expected. The surrounding neighborhood was safe and quiet. There were children walking the streets after dark with no real concern for safety. It's a nice family neighborhood, and about a block away is a grocery store, where I bought all the food I'd need for my stay. Overall, I was thrilled with this stay. Apart from the location, it's a very nice hotel and everything seemed brand new. All the room fixtures, etc were well maintained. Area was very safe, but not close to anything. Shower water pressure was very low.

I was happy with the hotel, but the beds (in my room) initially felt plush, but had no support, so were awful for my back. That may have been an anomaly.

Had a very comfortable stay here during October. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and kept well. The hotel itself is tucked into a pleasant Hassidic neighborhood about two city blocks away from the G train (not a very long walk). We could get in and out of Manhattan in 20 minutes on average. A bit of a treck from the subway. Hotel was clean and in a lovely area. Having 2 rooms was very conventient for when the baby was sleeping but the kitchenette is wasted when there is no equipment provided (not even a kettle or cup for tea). The breakfast room is far too small for so many guests, only 4 tables!

The hotel was clean, staff was helpful and friendly, and neighbourhood was very safe - about a 15 min walk to Williamsburg. Right in the middle of a Hisidic Jewish neighbourhood, so it is safe. A little out of the way but a short cab right from anything you really need. Highly recommended for an affordable, clean and safe stay in Brooklyn.

Our stay at the Pointe Plaza was great considering we only booked the room two days prior to arriving in NYC during one of the busier weekends of the year, Labor Day Weekend. The room was modern and all the facilities were brand new. The staff were courteous and helpful, as was the neighbourhood. Only caveat was that, consistent with the other reviews, […] it was a solid 15 minute walk to the subway. But given the great weather, we didn't mind it at any time of day. Next time, we would take advantage of the free charter bus into the city. Perhaps consider a shuttle to prominent sites in Brooklyn? I knew I wouldn't be spending much time in my room, so Pointe Plaza was a great, inexpensive choice for me. Room was small, no TV, but bed was comfortable, and bathroom was stocked and more than adequately appointed. Clean, plenty of hot water, everything in working order. With the help of Hotels.com, a last minute change to this accommodation proved to be a wise choice. 2 years old, very clean and comfortable rooms with soft duvets on beds. We had adjoining rooms with our 4 children and grandparents across the hall. Would never had gotten this set up at this reasonable price in Manhattan! Pointe Plaza is in the heart […] of an Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn. Older area, but very safe, with moms and babies in strollers chatting on street corners. Hotel is situated on a busy traffic corner, so did hear some traffic at night, but not sure you can get away from this while visiting New York! Free healthy breakfast consisting of toast, muffins, waffles, various cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee offered each day. Also, free shuttle in the morning into Manhattan (except for Sundays) a great perk! Must find own transportation back to hotel from Manhattan -- taxi varied from about $22-35 per trip, and takes 20-40 minutes (depending on traffic) to get back. Hotel rooms equipped with essentials, although had to ask for more toilet paper and cups which were readily given to us when asked. Although rooms have kitchenettes, there are no dishes, cutlery, or pots and pans in the cupboards. You can ask for a hot plate from the front desk if so desired. All staff were sincere, friendly, and helpful, especially the manager who offered personalized service and greeted us each day asking us how things were and if we needed anything. We were very thankful to have found this hotel through Hotels.com. It is very family friendly, clean, and safe. Staff are conscientious. I highly recommend it anyone, but particulary families who wish to see NYC on an affordable budget and are willing to stay outside of Manhattan. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The room I paid for was not the one we were given. We booked a suite for 3 people that had a couch. This was not included in our room. The air conditioner, although it worked, did not pump out cold air in the kitchen area of the room. 2 of the people staying in the room needed to duck down to take a shower we were taller than the shower head. 3_stjärnigt hotell, som överträffade förväntningarna. Gångavstånd till tunnelbana. Taxi ca 20 dollarvtill Manhattan. Vänlig personal, bra sängar.

Hotellet var fräscht, personalen trevlig men kvarteren runt hotellet var extremt tråkiga. Det fanns ingen service i området. Dåliga tunnelbaneförbindelser. Dålig frukost. Tv:n hade bara fyra-fem fungerande kanaler vilka var helt värdelösa. Sköna sängar men rummet hade en stpr pelare mitt i rummet som störde väldigt mycket. Vi spenderade 14 nätter på hotellet och var mycket nöjda. Rummen var rena och inga vägglöss som manhört så mycket om i New York. Hotellet erbjöd gratis carservice in till Times Square varje dag utom söndagar. Minus var dålig belysning i rummen samt mindre bra frukost. Kan definitivt rekommendera detta till andra resenärer!

The hotel room itself was nicely furnished, and the covers on the beds were really good, the bathroom was nice as well, but storage space was limited. What really lets this place down is the location and the lack of customer service. Getting to and from the hotel to Manhattan is not an easy ordeal. The subways are not within walking distance, and the […] neighborhood is very run down and doesn't feel particularly safe when the sun sets. There are also no stores (except 1 which was closed when we were there) or restaurants in the vicinity. The customer service at the front desk was virtually nonexistant. It was more important for the front desk employee to talk on the phone than to hand out keycards, and answer questions when we checked in. Upon leaving they forgot to call a cab, they were downright rude when asked for directions to a nearby supermarket. We stayed there for 2 nights, and will not stay there again.
