Americas Best Value Inn - Caldwell

The hotel was very nice for the price. The receptionest was very helpful and nice I would definitely recommend this to stay in for anyone

Its a small room compared to normal places. But the fire alarm went off several times in the evening causing uncomfortable feeling all night, not much sleep. We enjoyed our stay in the motel and found the couple caring for the area to be very nice. We would stay there again.

Not what we expected! You entered into the first bedroom from the hotel main hallway. From it, you could either enter the 1 bathroom off to the left or to the other bedroom off to the right. There were no dressers in either bedroom. Where there should have been a desk, there was only an oversized desk chair and broken side chair. We stayed as this was the closest hotel for an A&M football game. Place is nice and clean, also fairly large. One negative is that it is about 50 yards from a railroad track, and about 3 trains came through during the night.

Took last minute trip to A&M game so couldn't get room in College Station but it was an easy drive there and none of the local gameday traffic there. Room was nice except faced a dicey looking neighborhood so I was a little worried about my car parked overnight.

There were several dead roaches in the room and bathroom. Whoever cleans the rooms doesn't vacuum all the way next to the bed or by the nightstand because there were pieces of bread and other crumbs in addition to the roaches. I waited too late and couldn't find anything but a 1 or 5 star hotel... neither were acceptable so I extended my choices and this one was an easy drive and the price was right. When I got there, the help was friendly, the place was clean, the room was attractive - yes, it was a good stay.
