Embassy Suites Houston Downtown - ฮูสตัน

It had been some time since we had stayed at an ES. All previous ones had the large atrium in the center and were very nice. This one is more traditional and is decorated with birght colors and has a boutique feel about it. Extremely satisfied.

Hotel is amazing. Very clean, rooms are nice and open and very well kept. Went down for a 4 day weekend, this place is right in the heart of downtown. Just off the downtown park, only 4 blocks from Minute Maid Park. And only a few blocks away from House of Blues, Pete's Piano Bar and other downtown night spots. Will definitely stay here again.

Quiet, comfortable , great location to watch the Rangers game..., loved everything about it. Loved discovery green park right across the street! Awesome breakfast, book this hotel NOW- you won't be disappointed.

We stayed on the 17th floor , the room was gorgeous, very big, amazing view out the window . The only problem we had with the hotel was parking . If you don't opt to pay 30 a day/overnight valet then you have to park in a really shady lot behind the building that is not monitored and the hotel holds no responsibility for oh and you still have to pay […] to park there too. We opted not to valet and use the pay parking lot adjacent to the hotel which was half the cost ($15 vrs $30 a night). Within 2 minutes of parking we were approached by an annoying street hustler and I had to shoo him off. I had no major problems with the hotel. But I didn't like the area. This Embassy Suites is located in the heart of downtown, a short walk from the Hilton Convention Center and the big Convention Center. So if that's where you're going, it's great. They have all the standard Embassy Suites features: massive rooms, free hot breakfast including made-to-order omelets, free alcoholic drinks and snacks in the afternoon, clean, […] modern, etc. However, it is located in downtown Houston, which unfortunately is a fair distance from most of the restaurants and nightlife in Houston. Downtown essentially shuts down on Sundays, so there is even less to do then. The hotel does offer a shuttle, but it is not always around. There is a nice organic grocery about 3-4 blocks away that has a great deli, and a few bars, but that's about it. Cab rides within downtown are a flat $6 cash, but unfortunately, most of the restaurants worth attending and things worth seeing are in midtown, which is about $15 away. There is also a light rail, but it is also a healthy walk away. Overall: great hotel, poor location within the city. I chose the Embassy Suites because it is very close to the convention center and was an excellent value compared to some of the other hotels that I looked at. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the gym and pool on site.

Really comfortable. Huge room, huge bed. Within walking distance there were lots of food and bev options so that was really convenient. Loved the fact that the park was just across the street as well!

The included full breakfast and happy hour were exceptional. Staff was genuinely willing to please. Rooms were clean, modern, and spacious.

I would say I enjoyed the place but that would be a lie. Exceptional service ends at the curb. The valet guycand Oscar the doorman were helpful and courteous. Front desk staff was dry, cold and seemed upset. Offered no helpful information. Perhaps front desk staff can benefit from diversity training. I use hotels.com to purchase all business related […] hotels....however I have never been insulted by the staff when redeeming a hotel bought off this site. Loved everything. 1 block to the Toyota center. Free shuttle to downtown restaurants. Rooms were very well appointed and clean and the bed was quite comfortable.

We checked in at 3 in the afternoon. Once we got to the room my wife called down to request a few more pillows. They told her they didn't have any extra pillows. At 3 in the afternoon you would think with a lot of people checked out that they would have at least a couple. I then had to call the corporate office and they called the hotel and not soon […] after that we had more pillows Then at night the air conditioning was horrible. Very stuffy in the room. Great location to the Toyota Center! Also, just a block away from Discovery Green. The hotel was wonderful. The only complaint was the excessive line for free breakfast. We ended up leaving before eating because the line wasn't moving. Otherwise, great stay.

The view was amazing. My only complaint is customer service of one particular employee. When we got to the hotel we were assisted immediately by a very nice gentleman, who helped us with our bags. As we opened the door we could smell sewage immediately. We thought ok maybe it's because the AC was on so we endured it for about 20 minutes. We finally […] decided to ask if we could switch rooms. When we asked one lady was very nice and seemed to want to accommodate us. There was a second lady who overheard the conversation and immediately asked why and then rudely agreed to switch our rooms. We finally got switch and were really happy with the second room. The only issue was we couldn't put anything in the fridge because the fridge door wouldn't close with items inside it. We got over that cause it truly was a nice room with a great view. Then we went downstairs just to ask a simple question about where smoking was allowed. The rude lady immediately passed judgement and said " Is there something wrong with this room too" we told her no and began looking for the nicer lady who felt was easier to talk to. The room was perfect! The hotel staff is super friendly and great! I loved my suite it was huge and perfect! The hotel is beyond amazing and the staff member informed me the hotel was just two years old!!! If you are looking for a hotel located in the downtown Houston area I would recommend this hotel!!!

This hotel is one of the few that can accommodate a group of 6 adults. The suite with two queens and fold-out couch was perfect for three couples to share. Can't beat the perks like free happy hour and made to order breakfast. Also the hot tub and pool area was sweet. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is conveniently located about 1.5 blocks away from the Brown Convention Center. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfy with their white down comforters. Not quite a traditional Embassy Suites. Seems to be converted from a different hotel. But nice enough if you can overcome your biases. Also, when you book through Hotels dot com, you do not get your Hilton Honors points. If I knew that beforehand, I would have booked differently.

We stayed here the night before the Chevron marathon and had no idea how perfectly located we would be for the start and finish lines. Friends of ours all stayed downtown and were miles from it and had to walk there and back. Great breakfast and service too. Will definitely stay there again next year!!

The main issue I have is the price of overnight parking (valet), which is $28 plus tax, ends up being over $30 a day/night. I did not comparison-shop all the hotels in the area, and I am not familiar with Houston parking rates, but it seems a bit high to me. The hotel is a block away from the Toyota Center and we were there for a Rockets game. We are a family of 4 and the room was great. Plenty of space for all of us. Breakfast was included and it had everything you could want. We will definitely go back to stay.

Hotel is amazing. The rooms are great...spacious. Its an easy walk away from the Toyota Center and George R Brown Convention Center. There is no free parking at the hotel which was a disappointment but the valet service was quick and able.
