Eastin Hotel Penang - ปีนัง

I had really enjoy my stay in Eastin Hotel. I especially love how they greet the guests at the door way. It make me feel at home. However the all pleasant experience is damaged by the one night where they perform the electricity maintenance. We did not get inform when we check in. They should at least let us know before hand instead of leaving a note […] on that day on the table which we rarely look at. Plus we are out of electricity from 12am till around 6am... If we are early sleeper that is still bearable, however, that is not the case and we saw quite a lot of people going down to the lobby to ask why and didn't leave with a satisfied answer. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Close to a large mall with many food outlets, including a large grocery store. Handy for airport (about 10-15 minutes away) and easy to find from the bridge - just turn south. Route is well-signed. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

We were comfortable with the bed and linen, execpt that the hand held shower was spoilt and leaking by its side + it could not hold still in place and kept tilting foward. the water pressure was also terriblely slow and frustrating. then the unstable toilet seat kept sliding towerds the left and kept sinking on on one side. Ideal spot to stay if you are visiting the technology parks located in the South of the island, near the airport.

actually we booked a twin bedroom but was given two single bedroom.

The room is a little small but is well equiped. The hotel provides one "hard" pillow and one "soft" pillow, and they have individually controlled reading light at the bedside. The hotel has a pretty good in-house spa. The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping mall.

This is my 2nd visit to Eastin. During my 1st stay a few months ago, The shower didn't work properly so I had to shower with cold water. The air con was extremely cold too. This time round, the shower was good but the air con was still very cold. I reported to the hotel and they promptly sent technicians to check and found that the thermostat wasn't […] working properly. After 20 minutes, they fixed the air con problem. Just a quick review - I stayed here for 10 days in April and here are the highs and the lows: - Great (almost overwhelming) service. I like 4-5 star hotels, but there is sometimes a little too much hovering here. - Convenient to the airport and to the major manufacturing firms on the island. The mall is right next door, so anything that you might want […] is a walk away. - Taxis are right outside the door and all are either metered or give you a very fair price to the island attractions. - The restaurant is pricey - there are several great restaurants within walking distance and even more, a short taxi ride away. Except for breakfast, you can get better food for much less outside the hotel. - Rooms are kept basically spotless. Just make sure that you are ready to leave in the morning when you walk out the door, because within minutes, you might find them at the door ready to service the room. - Ask for two keys - you must have one inserted in the receptacle at the door for the electrical outlets to work and if you want to charge up any of your electronics while you are out, you won't be able to without getting that second key. All in all, it was a very nice stay and hotels.com made it very affordable and convenient through the prepay feature. 今回はロフトタイプの部屋でした。寝るのにいちいち階段を昇るのは面倒ですが、部屋自体は綺麗で満足できます。周辺のショッピンセンターの食べ物やさんは非常に便利。不満はバスタブが無いことだけです。

割と新しいホテルの為、設備は清潔でインターネットも無料でしたので割安感がありました。部屋は広くはありませんが、モダンでいい雰囲気です。 周辺にはイオンのモールがあり、観光客でも食事をしやすいお店が沢山あるので、特に日本人には便利なホテルだと思います。利用者によっては部屋にバスタブがないこと、朝は車の音が結構聞こえること、ダウンタウンから遠いので徒歩での観光には向かないことくらいが気になる可能性はありますが、私のようなビジネス用途の短期利用ではほとんどマイナス点は感じられません。

ジャスコが近くにあるので、日本人には、利用しやすいです。
